AI Job Scraper & Resume Tailor

The Problem

Applying to multiple AI roles manually is tedious — each job requires reading the description, tweaking the resume, checking for duplicates, and writing a cover email. This process takes 20-30 minutes per application.

The Solution

Built an n8n workflow triggered by a Slack command. It validates the query, calls a job search API to find relevant listings, then loops through each job — retrieves the user's base resume from Google Docs, uses an LLM (via OpenRouter) to tailor it to the specific job description, checks for existing tailored versions to avoid duplicates, updates the file, and drafts a personalized email if the listing includes a contact address. Everything is reported back to Slack.

Key Outcomes

• Cuts application time from 30 min to ~5 min per role
• AI-generated tailored resumes for each job description
• Duplicate prevention — never overwrites an existing tailored resume
• Auto-drafts application emails when contact is available
